Blue Mountains MP, residents, call for ceasefire

More than 100 people gathered at the former Blue Mountains library to call for a ceasefire in Gaza on November 12. It wasΒ  organised by the newly-formed .

AΒ Palestinian-Australian, representatives from the Blue Mountains Peace Collective, Socialist Alliance, the Greens and federal Labor MP Susan Templeman addressed the rally.

The young Palestinian saidΒ she β€œdeeply appreciates” the local support. Templeman said she agreed with the call on Labor to support a ceasefire. After the speeches, the protest marched through Katoomba Street to rally in front of The Carrington Hotel.
