The Victorian Ambulance Union (VAU) registered as an incorporated association after breaking away from United Voice on July 4. ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ Weekly’s Sarah Hathway spoke to VAU general secretary Danny Hill about why paramedics and ambulance workers decided on this course.

Residents support ambulance workers’ campaign

Residents responded to ambulance workers’ calls to protest the proposed shut down of Fairfield’s Ambulance Office, with about 200 people gathering on November 26 to show their opposition to the NSW government’s plans to close it down.

The government plan involves basing all local ambulances at a new β€œsuperstation” at Bankstown, to coordinate with outlying paramedic response points.
