Whistle-blower David McBride faces court in the ACT on November 13 for exposing war crimes.
This is the speech he gave at the Truth Not War Festival for Whistleblowers and Wikileaks on November 12.
In the speech he said that the government βcares more about secrecy than they do about crimeβ.
Answering the accusation that he revealed classified information, he pointed out that all information (including the supply levels of βbog rollβ) is classified.
βIt is not about classified information, it is about crime,β he said of the documents he released.
He thanked people for attending the festival and said βitβs not a huge crowd here today, but it is huge in my heartβ.
βThey hate the fact that we hold our heads up high.β
